Questions
01
What kind of designer are you?
My journey started in product design, but after graduating I moved into graphic design and later into visual merchandising. Through these shifts, I’ve realized that my strength isn’t tied to one specific discipline, it’s in the way I approach design.
I get energy from turning ideas into something real. Whether it’s building a brand concept or organizing an event, I like working across different types of projects and bringing them to life in a tangible way. For me, design is about the process of taking an idea and translating it into something you can see, use, or experience.

What inspires your work?
What really drives my work is curiosity. I’m interested in almost everything and always want to understand how things work or how they could be better. I tend to see potential everywhere.
This happens all the time. Whether I walk past a house and immediately imagine a completely new interior, use a product and think “this is smart,” or notice a poster that instantly grabs my attention. Inspiration is everywhere, and combined with my drive to keep learning, it constantly pushes me forward as a designer.

What do you do outside of design?
Outside of design, I’m a dedicated DIYer. For me, relaxing doesn't mean sitting still. It means getting my hands dirty. Whether it's opening a fresh can of paint or building something new, my weekends are always filled with projects. Together with my partner, I love taking on ambitious challenges that others might find crazy: we’ve fully renovated a 30-year-old caravan, restored a vintage Ford F-250, and even started our own vegetable garden. I’m at my best when I’m making things happen.

Why did you start The Blue Bird?
I started The Blue Bird to have the freedom to create, experiment, and work on a wide range of projects. It allows me to not limit myself to one type of design, but to follow ideas and see where they can go.

What makes your approach to design different?
I don’t like to limit myself to one type of design. My strength is in switching between different disciplines and figuring out what a project really needs.I focus on making ideas tangible. Whether that’s a product, a brand, or an experience. For me, it’s always about finding the right way to bring something to life, not just making it look good.
